Lamborghini Centenario Swaps Stock Rims For Two-Tone, Turbine-Like Ones

No matter how rare and expensive a vehicle is, it’s likely that someone, somewhere, wants to change something about it.

This Lamborghini Centenario backs up our statement. Its owner probably decided to go for the easier, and most easily reversible, mod out there, thus the Italian supercar rides on a set of Forgiato N-2s, painted to match the dark red shade of the bodywork.

Made in different sizes, from 19 to 26 inches, the wheels were already fitted to other cars, including a Ferrari F430 and a Liberty Walk-tuned McLaren 570S. The Cadillac Escalade, GMC Yukon and Sierra are also equipped with the same wheels.

Created in celebration of Ferruccio Lamborghini’s 100th birthday, the Centenario was presented at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Production was limited to 40 units, 20 Coupes and 20 Roadsters, all of them spoken for before its official unveiling.

The Centenario was priced from €1.75 million (~$2 million), and each client was allowed to spec the interior to their own preferences. Choices included Alcantara, contrast stitching on most visible parts and carbon fiber trim.

Following in the footsteps of the Reventon, Sesto Elemento, Aventador J and Veneno, it uses the 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 of the Aventador, which has been tuned to produce 770 PS (759 hp / 566 kW) and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of torque. The 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration is completed in 2.8 seconds and top speed exceeds 350+ km/h (217+ mph).

By comparison, the Aventador SVJ has identical performance numbers and just 30 Nm (30 lb-ft) of torque.
