    It was double joy for the 16-year-old Daman Speed Academy driver as she had secured second place in Round 6 the previous day at the same circuit, and in the process slashed the gap to her class leader. It was an unforgettable weekend for Amna, who on Friday won Senior Max class Pre-Final and then was placed second in the Final, picking up valuable points. On Saturday, she was placed fourth in Round 7 Pre-Final, but the Abu Dhabi schoolgirl was determined to win the race. Amna opened her final campaign for the weekend in fourth place and soon displayed her pace and skill, gradually moving up over the 14-lap race. Nearing the end, she put pedal to metal and surged ahead into the lead to secure a well-deserved first victory of her career in the Senior Max class.     The other DSA drivers - Hamda Al Qubaisi (Junior Max), Ali Al Shamsi and Abdulla Al Qubaisi (both Mini Max) - did well to finish inside the top 10 in their respective class. Amna, though, was in a class of her own, pushing the limits in the Pre-Final by surging ahead to fourth from eighth on the starting grid. She then began the final in sixth on the grid and raced ahead to third overall. In the earlier round, Amna secured a third-place finish in class to give DSA yet another podium in the new season. Amna now is second overall in the championship in class. Al Shamsi and Abdulla Al Qubaisi did well to finish inside the top 10 in their respective class in the Mini Max.     Regional program moves to Superkarts! USA only categories, featuring six single-race weekends with two new facilities. In 2012, the Texas ProKart Challenge was launched to provide a major regional program for the region of Texas, Oklahoma and the surrounding states. Promoted by Dave Pauly, the series grew into one of the top programs in the country. Last year, Pauly handed over the reigns to P1 Promotions - Mark and Gina French. After a successful first season in 2016, the focus is building on the future of the program beginning in 2017. The first five years of the Texas ProKart Challenge was a combination of the Rotax Max Challenge and Superkarts! USA. Beginning in 2017, the series is making the transition to become strictly a SKUSA regional series and duplicate a similar format to the organizations flagship regional program by offering six single-race weekends.
